The verbenone chemotype of rosemary originates from South Africa, is relatively mild, and is well-suited as an additive in massages. Organic rosemary supports concentration and memory. Although this rosemary type contains a ketone called verbenone, the essential oil is nontoxic and quite mild. As a precautionary measure, it should nevertheless not be used on children under 6 years of age. Avoid during pregnancy and on young children.
