Aloe vera is the oldest crop in the world - and the most commonly used worldwide. According to legends, it is the only plant that comes from the Garden of Eden... The name Aloe Vera comes from the Arabic word "alloeh", which means "shining bitter substance", while "Vera" in Latin means "true". It was - and still is - one of the most important plants in folklore: Egyptian, Chinese, Greek, Indian, Roman, etc. The Egyptians called it the “plant of immortality”. It was already part of the cosmetic routine of Nefertiti and Cleopatra.
