Jujube, the somewhat rare-sounding fruit
Jujube is traditionally grown in northwest China in Xinjiang Province, on the edge of the great desert against the majestic backdrop of the high Himalayas. The legendary Silk Road once began here. The fruit has been known in China and Mongolia for centuries, but it has not yet really arrived in Western Europe. We now want to change this.
The jujube tastes subtly sweet and its aroma is reminiscent of pears, plums and carob. It contains a lot of vitamin C, B1, B2, B3, beta-carotene, potassium and calcium, which makes it the ideal power snack for in between meals and a healthy snacking alternative.

Why the combination of vitamin D 3 + K 2 ?
Vitamin D is needed for the maintenance of bones and teeth, muscle function and the immune system. When there is little sunlight, the body's own production of vitamin D in the skin and the supply from food are usually not enough. The German Nutrition Society (DGE) recommends consuming 20 μg (800 IU) of vitamin D per day (estimated adequate intake) if the body does not produce its own vitamin D. This corresponds to 1 drop of Dr. Jacob's Vitamin D 3 K 2 Oil. For health reasons, a higher vitamin D dosage may make sense.
Vitamin K also fulfills central tasks in bone metabolism. That in Dr. The long-chain vitamin K 2 (all-trans MK-7) contained in Jacob's Vitamin D 3 K 2 oil is particularly well bioavailable compared to vitamin K 1 and other forms of vitamin K 2 and is optimally absorbed by the body. With a half-life of approx. 3 days, it also has a significantly longer duration of action than vitamin K 1 (1-2 hours).
Vitamin D 3 and Vitamin K 2 work together to store calcium in the bones and thus contribute to the maintenance of normal bones. Vitamin D 3 causes the formation of osteocalcin (central protein in bone metabolism). Vitamin K 2 is needed to activate osteocalcin. Only activated osteocalcin can actually incorporate calcium into the bones. Vitamin K 2 also activates MGP, a central calcium-binding protein in the vascular wall and connective tissue.
