Preparation:

Heat 1 teaspoon of Curcama Gold with 200ml of oat milk in a saucepan and whisk until frothy. Sweeten to taste, and don't forget to smile. (Recommended temperature: 40-45°C.)

Traditions about oxymel and its use can be found in ancient medical and healing texts, such as those of Galen of Pergamon (129-199) or in the Middle Ages by Hildegard of Bingen.

For a long, long time, so-called sour honey had a firm place as a medicinal form among healers and doctors.

In fact, the trunk can be used in many ways:
Take 1-2 tablespoons neat half an hour before your first meal, diluted 1:10 with warm or cold water, or—for even more refreshment—with cold mineral water. Its use in the kitchen also invites creative experimentation.

Honey contains over 180 different components. In addition to various types of sugar, it contains vitamins, minerals, flavonoids, and polyphenols (which act as antioxidants), as well as bee enzymes. The latter are responsible, among other things, for honey's anti-inflammatory effects.

The power of bees, microorganisms and plants

Vinegar is a fermentation product in which the alcohol in a fruit wine is converted into acid with the help of microorganisms. For its dietary benefits, vinegar was already highly praised by Hippocrates (the founder of modern medicine).

Umeboshi from Japan are botanically a type of apricot. However, they are often referred to as plums. They are known as umeboshi plums. They have excellent physiological effects, most notably a strong alkalizing effect on the stomach and intestinal tract.

In Japan, they are pickled and fermented in sea salt with shiso for approximately six months in large wooden barrels. They are then packaged as salted plums in jars or processed into puree. This process produces a high-quality product that can exert its soothing effect, especially on hyperacid stomachs and intestines, without side effects.

Since they are very salty (Yang) and often only very small amounts are needed, they should be used carefully in small portions, e.g. as a spice paste for pies, spreads and dishes or as an infusion.

Recipe for hyperacidity:
Bring 100 ml of water to a boil, while stirring 1 tablespoon of kuzu into cold water.
Remove boiling water from the heat and stir the kuzu, which has been dissolved in cold water and mixed thoroughly, into the hot water until a smooth, glassy porridge forms. Now stir 1 level teaspoon of umeboshi puree into the porridge and enjoy warm.

You can stir parts of an umeboshi plum or the umeboshi puree into a ready-made soup, or stir it into cooked vegetables to add more flavor to the dish.
