Interesting facts about the Maca plant
Maca (Lepidium Meyenii Walp) is a root that grows only in the highland zones of the Peruvian Andes, on the Junin Plateau, at an elevation of 4,250 meters. The plant was domesticated approximately 2,000 years ago (primitive maca varieties have been found at archaeological sites dating back to 1,600 BC). The Incas used the maca plant as part of their daily diet.

Maca is a food with a particularly high concentration of various nutrients. The synergy of maca nutrients supports the body in maintaining health, restoring natural balance, and contributing to overall well-being.

Vitamin D is essential for the maintenance of bones and teeth, the function of muscles and the immune system and plays a role in cell division. It works closely with vitamin K to maintain normal bones: Vitamin D3 stimulates the formation of osteocalcin, which is activated by vitamin K2 to efficiently store calcium in the bones. Innovative extraction process The Chaga mushrooms come from controlled wild collection in organically certified forests. After harvesting, they are gently dried to preserve the ingredients as much as possible. The next step is alcoholic extraction. We use only pure bioethanol, distilled from organically grown grain, as the extraction agent. This extraction step takes several days, during which the alcohol-soluble ingredients dissolve from the mushrooms. The mushrooms are then filtered and prepared for the next extraction step. The alcohol from the extract is evaporated by distillation to ensure the final product is alcohol-free. In the next step, the remaining mushrooms are extracted with water; this process dissolves the water-soluble substances from the mushroom material. At the end of the production process, the two extracts are combined and homogenized with organic vegetable glycerin from sunflower seeds.
