The lovely, practical book "Bauchlein-Öl und Zwiebelsocken" (Tummy Oil and Onion Socks) has long been available in herbalist shops (now in its 2nd edition), and now we have put together a practical DIY starter kit together with the author Claudia Schauflinger!
Claudia Schauflinger is a mother of two and grew up using home remedies herself. She runs a blog with helpful tips and gives great workshops (also online). Find out more about Claudia's home remedies for children here.
Because many customers already own the book, we are offering a DIY starter kit without the book.
Description:
Most home remedies use ingredients found in every household: onion, salt, vinegar, oil... But some applications require things that are not found in every kitchen cupboard.
We've included some of these herbs, oils, and other ingredients in our DIY starter kit! The accompanying booklet provides detailed and easy-to-understand instructions on how to use them. This allows you – even with older children – to prepare simple and child-friendly home remedies!
This is included in the starter kit:
- Calming herbal blend – for herbal sachets, tea or bath
- Herbal mixture for colds – for herbal sachets, tea or bath
- Herbal blend for tummy time – for your own tummy massage oil, so that bloating and stomach rumbling can be gently relieved.
- Calendula – to easily make your own first infused oil
- Pansies – for compresses and washes, for skin irritations
- Fine essential oil from wild mountain lavender – for many uses, several of which can be found in the book.
- Almond oil – as a baby-friendly base for infused oils
- 2 empty amber glass bottles – for bottling the finished oils
- Soft wash mitt – for washing and bathing, as a sachet for filling with herbs, onions & co.
- Linen bags – for filling with herbs, onions & co.
- Pine shavings – as packaging material, which in combination with the herbs also fills fine, relaxing herbal pillows.
- A cover letter that quickly and clearly guides you to all the applications in the book
