The loving, practical book Tummy Oil and Onion Socks has long been available in the herbal drugstore (now in its 2nd edition), and now we have put together a practical DIY starter package together with the author Claudia Schauflinger!
It also makes an ideal gift for families with children and those who are about to become one.
Claudia Schauflinger is a mother of two children and grew up with home remedies herself. She runs a blog with helpful tips and gives great workshops (also online). More information about Claudia's children's home remedies here.
Description:
Most home remedies use ingredients that are found in every household: onion, salt, vinegar, oil... But some applications require things that cannot be found in every kitchen cupboard.
We have now packed some of these herbs, oils, etc. into the DIY starter package! How to deal with this is described in detail and understandably in the accompanying book. This means you can prepare children's home remedies in a simple and child-friendly way - even together with slightly older children!
This is included in the starter package:
- Herbal mixture calming – for herbal sachets, tea or bath
- Herbal mixture for colds – for herbal sachets, tea or bath
- Belly herbal mixture - for your own stomach massage oil, so that flatulence and stomach rumbling can be gently relieved
- Marigold – to easily make your first extract oil yourself
- Pansies – for wraps and washes, for skin irritations
- Fine essential oil from wild mountain lavender – for many uses, many of which can be found in the book
- Almond oil – as a baby-friendly base for extract oils
- 2 empty brown glass bottles - to fill the finished oils
- Soft washing glove – for washing and bathing, as a bag for filling with herbs, onions etc.
- Linen bag – for filling with herbs, onions etc.
- Pine shavings - as a packaging material that, in combination with the herbs, also fills fine, relaxing herbal pillows
- The children's home remedy book Tummy Oil and Onion Socks
- Accompanying letter that leads quickly and clearly to all the applications in the book

THE standard work of natural gynecology.
The at-Verlag writes:
Herbal remedies have been increasingly gaining popularity in gynecologists' and midwives' practices in recent years. Antibiotic herbs such as bearberry, nasturtium, and garlic, as well as hormone-like plants such as lady's mantle, chasteberry, and black cohosh, have established a firm place in gynecology and obstetrics. But the plant kingdom offers countless other women's herbs whose healing powers can enrich and support a woman's entire life.
Based on her many years of research and practical experience, the author demonstrates how traditional plant knowledge can be integrated into a holistic concept of contemporary gynecology. Whether it's cystitis, endometriosis, the desire to conceive, fibroids, osteoporosis, menstrual, pregnancy, or menopausal symptoms, therapists and women of all ages will find what they're looking for here.
The encyclopedia contains 110 detailed portraits of women's herbs, with information on ingredients, effects, signatures, uses, and references to commercial products. It also includes over 180 medicinal herbal recipes and numerous valuable practical tips and treatment suggestions. It also includes a comprehensive medical glossary. An indispensable reference work for anyone interested in women's health.
