Bamboo salt – mineral-rich seasoning with tradition
Bamboo salt is more than a spice – it provides valuable minerals and adds a special flavor to dishes. The 9x-fired bamboo salt has a coarse grain and a dark, purple color, which is why it is also called purple salt. It takes three years to produce, as it undergoes nine firing processes that remove impurities and increase the mineral concentration. The high sulfur content gives bamboo salt its intense flavor – initially very salty, then slightly sweet over time. It has many uses: as a seasoning, for brushing teeth, in baths, or as a saline solution for the nose and face. Bamboo salt comes from Korea, where it was developed by monks as a medicinal remedy 1,000 years ago. Repeated firing makes it particularly alkaline (pH 9–12) and can neutralize acidic foods. To protect it from light, the 9x-fired bamboo salt is packaged in Miron violet glass, which preserves its shelf life and effectiveness.
- Twice-fired bamboo salt is fine, comparable to fleur de sel.
- Nine-fold burnt bamboo salt is available in coarse or very coarse grain versions. This coarse bamboo salt is ideal for direct consumption as a dietary supplement. Why do we need minerals and salt?
- Power fruit
- Nutrient rich
- Raw food quality
Jujube, the somewhat rare-sounding fruit
Jujube is traditionally grown in northwest China in Xinjiang Province, on the edge of the great desert against the majestic backdrop of the high Himalayas. The legendary Silk Road once began here. The fruit has been known in China and Mongolia for centuries, but it has not yet really arrived in Western Europe. We now want to change this.
The jujube tastes subtly sweet and its aroma is reminiscent of pears, plums and carob. It contains a lot of vitamin C, B1, B2, B3, beta-carotene, potassium and calcium, which makes it the ideal power snack for in between meals and a healthy snacking alternative.
But it can do even more: in raw food quality, the jujube, with its supple, thin skin, is an absolute all-round talent. It can increase the immune system and mobilize resilience. People used them to combat colds as early as the Middle Ages.
The jujube shines with its wide range of uses, from raw consumption to use in teas, baked goods, soups and also as medicine.
We think that the jujube really deserves the title of super fruit of 2017. But see for yourself!
The organic black cumin oil obtained from the seeds of Nigella sativa, the real black cumin plant, is a real specialty.
Due to its natural essential oil content, it has an unmistakable and spicy taste. Due to this property, organic black cumin oil is called “oriental gold” in oriental countries.
Black cumin has been used as a spice for over 2,000 years and is suitable for seasoning a wide variety of dishes. The spicy-tasting seeds of the black cumin plant are ideal for a wide variety of baked goods. Sauces and salads in particular can be seasoned and refined by adding the oil.
In addition to seasoning dishes, the high proportion of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids also contributes to the value of this natural product.
Recommended consumption: 3 x 1/2 teaspoon daily
Store in a cool and dark area.

Bamboo salt – mineral-rich seasoning with tradition
Bamboo salt is a unique, mineral-rich sea salt produced in Korea through a special traditional firing process. Compared to conventional food, bamboo salt contains a high concentration of minerals that enhance the nutritional value of food and aid the body in nutrient absorption. Salt plays an important role in nutrient transport and helps the body absorb minerals and eliminate waste. Bamboo salt not only provides a rich flavor but also promotes health thanks to its high mineral content.
What makes bamboo salt special is its firing process, in which the salt is heated between one and nine times to over 1300°C. With each firing, impurities are removed, the mineral concentration increases, and the salt darkens in color. Bamboo salt fired nine times is purple in color and takes up to three years to produce. This process gives bamboo salt a high sulfur content and an alkaline pH (between 9 and 12), making it particularly beneficial for an acidic diet. This production method ensures that the salt has a neutralizing effect, unlike most conventional salts, which are often acidic.
Bamboo salt can be used in a variety of ways: in the kitchen as a flavoring, for brushing teeth, as bath salt, or even as a nasal or eye rinse. Depending on the application, you can choose fine or coarse salt. Once-fired bamboo salt is particularly fine and ideal as table salt, while nine-fired salt is coarser and ideal as a dietary supplement or for direct consumption.
Minerals are essential for the body, even though they make up only a small part of our body chemistry. They activate vitamins necessary for important bodily functions. A mineral deficiency can lead to health problems. Salt, especially bamboo salt, contains sodium, which is essential for regulating blood pressure, muscle function, and fluid balance.
Compared to sea salt, bamboo salt offers additional benefits: The special firing process removes chemical impurities from sea salt, which is contaminated by environmental pollution in many regions. Bamboo salt contains minerals not found in conventional sea salt because minerals from bamboo, clay, and resin are combined with the salt during the firing process. These natural minerals are particularly beneficial to the body and are easily absorbed. Bamboo has been used as a medicinal plant in Asia for centuries, which gives bamboo salt additional healing properties.

Oxymel - an ancient recipe
Traditions about oxymel and its use can already be found in ancient medical and healing writings, such as those by Galen of Pergamon (129-199) or in the Middle Ages by Hildegard of Bingen.
Honey and vinegar - each a powerful home remedy with countless positive properties - are mixed and, as a bonus, you can also add (medicinal) herbs to this strong mixture.
For a long, long time, the so-called sour honey had its place as a medicinal form among healers and doctors.
In fact, the trunk can be used in a variety of ways:
1-2 tablespoons pure half an hour before the first meal, diluted 1:10 with warm or cold water or - for even more refreshment - with cold mineral water. But its use in the kitchen also invites creative experimentation.
Honey contains over 180 different ingredients. In addition to various types of sugar, there are vitamins, minerals, flavonoids and polyphenols (act as antioxidants) as well as bee enzymes. The latter are, among other things, responsible for the anti-inflammatory effects of honey.
The power of bees, microorganisms and plants
Vinegar is a fermentation product in which the alcohol in a fruit wine is converted into acid with the help of microorganisms. Because of its dietary properties, vinegar was highly praised by Hippocrates (the founder of modern medicine).
Both vinegar and honey have strong extraction power. If you add herbs or spices, the valuable essential oils and secondary plant substances are gently dissolved and optimally preserved in the honey-vinegar drink.
For our Oxymele, in addition to our organic honey and the other ingredients, we only use products of controlled organic quality from Austrian manufacturers, such as Sonnentor and Gölles .
